The Gear

Owning your own gear is great, but it can be a hassle keeping it all in good shape and trying to find it when you want to go camping. This is one way that Kentucky Camp Company hopes to make it easier for you to get out more often and with less stress. Every site comes equipped with everything you will need and more (except blankets and pillows, because Covid).

Our gear set-ups come in two sizes:

• Standard: One tent - Ideal for up to four people

• Double: Two tents - Ideal of for up to eight people

  • For parties of more than 8, please book two sites

You can also choose your set-up preference:

• Option 1 - You Do It: The gear can be picked up on the day of your reservation at our shop (309 N. Ashland Avenue) near downtown Lexington, you set it up when you arrive at your site, and break it down and return on your way back home. There is no additional charge for this option. Plan for about an hour to set up your site and at least an hour to pack it back up.

• Option 2 - We Do It: You show up to a fully set-up site and simply leave it as you found it when you check out ($100).

Every package includes:

**Campgrounds have spigots with potable water or you are welcome to bring your own. The crock holds 2.5 gallons on its own.

Packing information for DIY Packages

If you have purchased a You Do It/DIY Package and are picking up our gear from us in Lexington, here is some important information. The photo below shows the Small gear pack as it will be packed. This kit fits snuggly in the back of a mid-size hatchback (see photo) without lowering the bench seat. Set up and operating instructions for select pieces of our gear can be found on the product links above and how-to guides will be provided.
